Massillon Museum to Offer Art 360° Kids’ Workshop

The Massillon Museum will offer a one-day folk art workshop for students in grades one through six on Sunday, November 20, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Instructor Levent Isik, a Stark County resident, is one of more than 40 Ohio artists who have created works of art based on ostrich eggs for the current Massillon Museum exhibition, Art 360°: Contemporary Art Hatching Across Ohio. He will inspire participants to create their own whimsical versions of Art 360° eggs from found objects to be exhibited at the Museum.

The registration fee—$22 ($20 per Museum member)—includes materials. Massillon Museum classes are open to the public. Pre-registration is required for this class by November 15. Students may register by phone, by mail, or in person using cash (exact change), checks, or credit cards. The Massillon Museum, as a Blue Star Museum, offers a 10% discount on classes for active military personnel and their families. For a detailed class schedule, call the Massillon Museum at 330-833-4061 or visit massillonmuseum.org.

Art 360°: Contemporary Art Hatching Across Ohio may be seen through February 12, 2017, during regular Museum hours—Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the Massillon Museum is always free.

The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East (Ohio Route 172) in downtown Massillon.  Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in the nearby city lots and parking deck.
