Canton First Friday Carnival

Streets lined with tents featuring kids art activities, art, and food.

Grapes in a Glass (575 Market Ave. N) will be featuring artwork by Antonia Davis. Local artist, teacher and wine expert. Her series of water colors and pastels will inspire you. All photography is 10% off. Live music 15yr old Rachel Randolph 6:30-8:30 and Mark Loy 9-12. Circus themed food and beverage specials.

Print & Press Shop & Studios (4th St. NW) has a carnival of fun waiting this First Friday, with new tees, tanks, prints and cards from Little Chicago Clothing Co., Letterpress Jess and more than a dozen Ohio-made brands.

The Hub Art Factory (336 6th St. NW) Live animals to visit with, as well as new, nature-themed work from artists Steve Ehret, Don Jute, Carolyn Lewis, Dino Massaroni, Lilly Thomas, and Emily Vigil.

Canton Museum of Art (1001 Market Ave N) The “Go Green” First Friday event features local artist Tim Carmany with his free community art project “The Giving Tree,” sponsored by the Stark Recycling District. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to help create a larger than life “Giving Tree” sculpture. Gallery Admission and interactive art activities are free. Cash bar is available.

Silo Arts Studio (431 4th St. NW) Come one come all to a handcrafted Cardboard Carnival and Art Show. Games, photo opportunities you won’t want to miss, art, popcorn and more! Don’t miss it.

The Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography will be presenting the photographic work of local photographer, David Dingwell and accompanying digital imagery of Su Nimon. This show will be in conjunction with the bicentennial celebration of the Stark County Courthouse. Live music from Dave Marchione.

Canton Palace Theatre (605 Market Ave. N) will host FREE family fun with the movie “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted”. Showtime is 7:30pm, doors open at 6:30pm, seating is first-come, first-served, and no tickets are needed.
