Canton South High School’s Production of Footloose

Footloose is the classic 80’s movie that has been turned into an amazing dance musical. Ren must move from Chicago to the small town Bomont when his father leaves his mom. Ren challenges the strict rules that have been created by the town minister, Reverend Shaw Moore after his son and several other teens die in a car crash. It is only through dealing with their own grief that Ren, Reverend Moore and the town of Bomont truly begin to live as a community again. This is not a story of rebellion. This is a story of loss and forgiveness.

Canton South High School brings Footloose the Musical to their brand new Performing Arts Center as a celebration the arts in Canton Local Schools. Leading actors include senior Cameron Thompson as Ren, senior Yazmen Brandon as Ariel, senior Garrett Stallman as Rev. Shaw Moore, senior Camellia Ferguson as Vi Moore, senior Andrew Ricketts as Williard and junior Nikole McGee as Rusty.
