Canton Ballet Announces Its 2016-2017 Season

Artistic and executive director Cassandra Crowley announces Canton Ballet’s 2016-2017 season.  All performances will be presented at the Palace Theatre at 605 Market Avenue N. in Canton.  Series subscriptions and individual production tickets are available online at or by calling 330.455.7220.  Subscribers receive a discount and their choice of the best seats in the house.
Director’s Choice will open the new season on Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 p.m.  The mixed program of classical ballet, contemporary ballet and modern dance will offer creative and challenging new works by resident and guest choreographers as well as familiar favorites from repertoire.

Performances of Tchaikovsky’s holiday masterpiece The Nutcracker will be Friday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, December 10, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, December 11, at 7:30 p.m.  The Nutcracker is sponsored by Kenan Advantage Group.

Canton Ballet’s spring offering will be its full length family favorite Snow White on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13, at 2:00 p.m.  This enchanting fantasy with every child’s favorite characters is choreographed by resident choreographer Angelo Lemmo.  Snow White is sponsored by Sharon and William Luntz.
A subscription series purchase includes one ticket for each production with a savings of 10% and ranges in price from $36 to $54.  Director’s Choice is specially priced at $10 for all tickets.  Other individual ticket prices are $15 to $25.  All seating is reserved.
