Art After Dark – More Than Just a Costume Party

“Art after Dark” on Saturday, October 14, 7:00 to 11:00 p.m., the Massillon Museum and the Canton Museum of Art will present a creative costume party set in a theatrical Halloween atmosphere—but that will be just the beginning of the fun.

For the second scary season, the Massillon Museum and the Canton Museum of Art will collaborate to present an event to remember. This year, the party will be at the Canton Museum of Art.  Everyone 18 and older is invited.

Come in costume—but don’t stay away if you prefer to party in street clothing and find amusement in the attire of other guests. To vie for special prizes, skew your costumes to fit the main categories: “Overall Best Costume” and “Best Art History Inspired Costume

The lively dance party will be interrupted only for the judging of disguises. The fun will include roaming entertainment, live music by Crystal Visions—a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, a tarot card reader, a photobooth, and entry into the galleries. Several surprises will keep guests looking out of the corners of their eyes.

Refreshments will be included in the $20 ticket price; the cash bar will feature Halloween-inspired cocktails and craft beer. Raffle tickets for unique baskets and tickets for tarot card readings will be sold separately at the event. Proceeds from the party will benefit both the Massillon Museum and the Canton Museum of Art.
